FAQ

  • What is a ToolBod?

Power tool body – the name is a derivative of the words ‘Tool’ and ‘Body’.

  • What is a Controller

Power tool handle – for ‘Controlling’ ToolBods.

  • Why are ToolBods and Controllers sold separately?

    To save you money:
Once you own a Controller each ToolBod costs less than a complete power tool.  (One Controller will operate all ToolBods of the same range and voltage.)

    To save you space:
Removing the Controller reduces the size.
Your Controller and ToolBods can be compactly stored within the BluCave Carry Cabinets.

  • Can I connect any ToolBod to any Controller?

    No:
AC Controller only works with AC ToolBods.
DC Controller only works with DC ToolBods.

To make your selection easy all packaging is colour coded green for AC and orange for DC.  Just look for the matching colours.

  • What is the difference between AC & DC?

AC Controllers have a power cable that plugs into a power outlet.

DC Controllers are powered by batteries.
